Commercial Collection Agencies of America's spring meeting in San Diego was a mecca for advanced learning for attendees.  Agency members fulfilled continuing education requirements with a syllabus of sessions geared toward commercial collections and creditors' rights.  
 
certificatekey 200pxThe high-level education offered at the meeting fit with the persona of Commercial Collection Agencies of America - the ONLY certifying body in which ALL agency members are certified; whose members have been in the debt collection industry for decades, many of whom have been certified for over forty-four (44) years.
 
"Our members crave a challenging curriculum of classes and the organization delivered.  Commercial Collection Agencies of America is founded on four pillars: experience, expertise, ethics and education.  Delivering top-notch, relevant and timely educational sessions is one of our goals and the spring meeting met that goal," commented Meg Scotty, President of Commercial Collection Agencies of America.  
 
Sessions covered licensing requirements and bonding, and how best to obtain and manage those licenses and bonds.  A session on SSAE 16 and other audits taught members how to navigate through the audit process.  Commercial Collection Agencies of America proudly welcomed the President and Past President of the North American Collection Agency Regulatory Association, who covered multiple state regulations and informed members what to expect when regulators visit an agency.  During the keynote presentation, Clay Clark of Thrive15 offered a lively "tutorial" of how to take member businesses to new heights, employing operational techniques proven for advancement. 
 
"The courses offered the members the opportunity to enhance each of their skill sets; every member walked away with new, valuable and useful information," remarked Annette M. Waggoner, Executive Director.
 
In addition to education, networking with business partners also played a big role in the spring meeting.
 
Unique networking exercises culminated in new business relationships between agencies and creditors' rights attorneys and law list representatives.
 
For the first time, Commercial Collection Agencies of America welcomed a plethora of vendors recognizing the importance of hosting companies whose products and services are vital for our members to operate effectively. "Commercial Collection Agencies of America realizes the benefit to our members of meeting face to-face with our vendor partners," commented board member and vendor management chair, George Bresler.
 
Another highlight of the conference was the general membership meeting, where members discussed the many initiatives of the organization, while the board reported on the rapid progress made in its inaugural year, especially in membership. 
 
Also at the general membership meeting, Commercial Collection Agencies of America Gives Back, the organization's charitable initiative, presented a video and proudly donated a portion of the meeting's profits  to the Wounded Warriors Project. Quite impressively, individual members also generously made matching donations.
 
All attendees agreed the meeting met with great success on all fronts-a gorgeous location on San Diego's picturesque marina, excellent education, frequent networking and fun social activities.  Members anxiously look forward to the organization's next meeting in Delray Beach, Florida on October 22-24, 2015.

Commercial Collection Agencies of America announced that members will meet in person at the organization’s Spring meeting to be held at the picturesque Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina on April 16-18, 2015.

Members, who include collection agency owners and managers, creditors’ rights attorneys and law list representatives, will congregate at the beautiful location which has views overlooking the bay and the marina while they obtain continuing education credits, attend speaker presentations and network with fellow members.

"We look forward to having another outstanding event," commented Bruce Godwin, director. "Our members were so pleased with our inaugural meeting in Delray Beach last October; it is time to have 'a repeat'!"

SheratonSanDiegoRooms priced at $199 per night and a free shuttle to and from the airport will make the meeting quite affordable. The meeting will start on Thursday with a welcome reception and elegant dinner. On Friday, members will enjoy breakfast, lunch, snack breaks in between seminars and sessions and end the day with a cocktail reception. On Saturday, members will meet for breakfast and attend the organization’s general membership meeting, which is always a productive and path-creating time for the group.

"Education and networking are key to our members. Speakers and panels teach new operational methods which allow members to offer the highest level of service in the industry. Our unique networking culminates in attorneys receiving collection business from agencies that have never forwarded to them before and agencies meeting attorneys who will represent their clients in the most qualified manner," commented Meg Scotty, director. "We believe those are the best ways to provide member benefit and, simultaneously, provide protection to the credit industry."

Once again, through Commercial Collection Agencies of America Gives Back, the organization’s recurring charitable initiative, the group will make a donation to a local chapter of a worthwhile cause in the San Diego area.

In its 42-year history, CCAA earned a reputation of an Association with upstanding, cooperative members who worked to provide credit professionals with the highest level of service in the commercial debt collection industry, while working together in committees and councils to offer stellar education and networking opportunities for its members.

With the same charge, Commercial Collection Agencies of America, Inc. will endeavor to continue that tradition and looks forward to welcoming you as a member for what will be year 43 for some of our members!

The new organization is incorporated as a non-profit 501(c) (6) entity in the state of Illinois and offers its members an unparalleled certification program recognized by the credit and collection industry worldwide. Commercial Collection Agencies of America, Inc. is the only collection agency-certifying body in which ALL of its members are certified. The new organization's marketing materials will stress that ALL members are certified, thus eliminating confusion in the marketplace.

Commercial Collection Agencies of America has reached out to alliance partners in the industry, including NACM and Credit Research Foundation, and will be exhibiting at each group's upcoming expositions. In addition, a press release is being sent to over 5,000 credit and collection professionals explaining the debut of the organization. Commercial Collection Agencies of America will continue to offer the excellent education former CCAA members have become accustomed to and benefited from during meetings and webinars. Full slates of interesting and relevant topics, in a wide variety of areas, await new members.

In addition, the organization will have frequent opportunities to meet in person and network with the creditors' rights attorneys and law list representatives. These affiliate members have had long-standing relationships with agency members and the new organization will create a positive atmosphere where old and new relationships can grow and be cultivated.

Commercial Collection Agencies of America, Inc today announced that it has built its membership to include over 50 members.

Commercial Collection Agencies of Americais an association of commercial collection agencies, creditors' rights attorneys and law list publishers whose experience, expertise, ethics and education work to elevate the standards of the commercial debt collection industry.   "The pillars-experience, expertise, ethics and education-are the foundation of each agency and building an association whose framework consists of like-minded agencies creates an unparalleled strength to protect the nation’s economy," commented Meg Scotty, one of the founding directors of Commercial Collection Agencies of America. 

Each Commercial Collection Agencies of America agency member has been assisting companies collect delinquent receivables for decades. All agency members are previously certified agencies of CCAA; some agencies are entering their 43rd year of certification.

"One of the paramount distinctions of the Commercial Collection Agencies of America is it is the only association of commercial collection agencies in which ALL of its agency members are certified," commented Fred Wasserspring, another founding director of the new organization.

Chicago-Comercial Collection Agencies of America, Inc has announced that its inaugural meeting will be held October 9-11, 2014 in Delray Beach, Florida.

Members and guests will meet at the beautiful oceanfront Marriott Delray Beach for a meeting packed with networking opportunities, top-notch education, outstanding speakers and panel discussions.  A general membership meeting will also be held.

Peppered into the educational sessions and association business is social time when members will congregate at meals, cocktail parties, a beach party,  golf, tennis and even tailgate and attend an NFL game!
"Many of our members-agency owners/managers, attorneys and law list representatives have known and worked with each other for decades.  Attendees look forward to re-connecting with their colleagues and celebrate the "kick off "of Commercial Collection Agencies of America at a meeting where education, networking and business relationships are #1 in the game plan," commented Annette M.
